The original of this icon was painted at the Iconography studio of Pantanassa Monastery. Saint Paisios of Mount Athos (+1994) is one of the greatest and most revered elders of the Orthodox Church in the 20th Century. He lived the monastic life in obscurity on the Mt Athos, but became a beacon of true life in Christ to faithful throughout the world. This biography, written by his close spiritual disciple Elder Isaac, is universally recognised as the most authoritative account of his life.
