SAINT THEODORA, QUEEN OF ARTA, GREECE, FULL BODY 9549 St Theodora was born in the year 1225 AD. She married Michael II, the ruler of Epiros, and had six children. For many years Theodora was exiled by her husband for the love of another woman. However Michael came back to his senses and remarried her. He even established two monasteries dedicated to Panagia. After the death of her husband, Theodora entered monasticism and lived a pious life praying, serving orphans and widows, and the sisters for the remainder of her life.
